In conclusion, the present study identified 20 aberrantly methylated‑differentially expressed genes in PCa by combining bioinformatics analyses of gene expression and gene methylation microarrays, and concurrently, the survival of these genes was analyzed. Notably, methylation is a reversible biological process, which makes it of great biological significance for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer using bioinformatics technology to determine abnormal methylation gene markers. In this study, we found that the mutation, copy number alteration, and methylation status of PRKAR2B gene have no correlation with its expression level in PCa. Then, we identified two microRNAs (miR-200b-3p and miR-200c-3p) to be critical regulators of PRKAR2B expression in PCa. Conclusions: Introducing pre-biopsy mpMRI into our contemporary PCa diagnosis pathway increased the diagnostic yield of transrectal biopsy by increasing the prostate cancer detection. This enabled the introduction of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) treatment. mpMRI application also allowed biopsy to be avoided among patients with no csPCa. PMID: 31969912 [PubMed]
