Size-Specific Dose Estimates Based on Water-Equivalent Diameter and Effective Diameter in Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography. MATERIAL AND METHODS There were 134 patients who underwent CTCA examination, were electronically retrieved. SSDEs (SSDEdeff and SSDEdw) were calculated using 2 approaches: deff and dw. The median SSDEs and mean absolute relative difference of SSDEs were calculated. Linear regression model was used to assess the absolute relative difference of SSDEs based on the ratio of deff to dw. Conclusions Spectral photon-counting CT allowed for the noninvasive evaluation of ISR with reliable results regarding the residual lumen for most tested stents and the clear identification or suspicion of stenosis for all stents. We present a case of a 23-year-old male, who had sustained multiple injuries following a road traffic accident. Computed tomography scan revealed a large retroperitoneal hematoma, and active contrast extravasation was noted in the retroperitoneum adjacent to the bare area of the liver and right adrenal gland. After a trial of initial conservative management, he had expanding retroperitoneal hematoma with dropping hemoglobin. Objective The aim of the study was to investigate the feasibility of coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography with a low kilovoltage peak scan and a refined scan timing prediction using a small contrast medium (CM) dose.
