Publication date: Available online 6 December 2019Source: Inorganic Chemistry CommunicationsAuthor(s): Chunyao Tao, Junbiao Wu, Yufei Wang, Yan Yan, Jiyang LiAbstractAn open-framework zinc phosphate has been synthesized in the presence of ethylviologen (EV) dibromide, which exhibits rapid photochromic property responsive to soft X-ray while almost no response to UV light and hard X-ray. It also shows tunable luminescence upon irradiation, and mother liquid recycling can be utilized for the economical synthesis of such compound.Graphical abstractAn open-framework zinc phosphate was synthesized in the presence of ethylviologen dibromide, which exhibits a rapid and obvious photochromism to soft X-ray while not to UV-vis and hard X-ray.
