Central nervous system (CNS) TB includes clinical entities: tuberculous meningitis, intracranial tuberculoma, and clinical features of CNS TB in the elderly may be atypical, non-specific, and confused with concomitant age-related diseases. Atypical clinical manifestations of TB in older persons can result in delay in diagnosis and initiati...

In this study, a novel Fe3+ selective ligand is proposed to overcome several limitations related to the use of the reference ligand, Xylenol Orange (XO). For this purpose, an affordable iron (III) ligand with an easy synthetic route was used. The complexation mechanism was investigated, and a single stoichiometry Fe3+-Ligand complex was identified, thus allowing a more accurate and feasible dose evaluation. The Fricke-gel dosimeter prepared with this new ligand was fully characterized by means of both optical and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) analysis. In particular, a reduction of the optical artefacts, the so-called d...

The most prominent abnormalities visualized by CR in RA patients are erosions as a consequence of bone destruction and joint space narrowing (JSN) as a consequence of cartilage damage. Several valida...

Publication date: Available online 27 January 2020Source: Diagnostic and Interventional ImagingAuthor(s): A. Hamard, R. Burns, A. Miquel, J.M. Sverzut, V. Chicheportiche, M. Wybier, V. BoussonAbstractDactylitis refers to a global swelling of a finger or a toe giving it a clinical sausage-shape presentation. It is an extremely suggestive symptom as it guides the rheumatologist towards a shortlist of diagnoses. However, radiologists are less familiar with dactylitis. The aim of this review is to detail and illustrate the main causes of dactylitis using standard X-ray imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic reso...

CONCLUSION: LncRNA GAC AT3 is associated with poor prognosis of breast cancer, preoperative MRI perfusion-related diffusion (D) reduction, and elevated perfusion fraction (f). After targeting CIR-497, LncRNA GACAT3 promotes the progression of breast cancer by down- regulating Caspase 9 and up-regulating Bcl-2. PMID: 31983109 [PubMed - in process]
