In conclusion, the present study indicated that endovascular treatment is a safe and efficient method for patients with vertebral artery aneurysm. The treatment strategy should be based on the patient's condition and aneurysmal characteristics. In July 2018, a rare and serious adverse effect (AE), namely, communicating hydrocephalus unrelated to meningitis or bleeding, was reported in relation to five patients treated with nusinersen for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). Some patients were managed using a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt (VPS) implant and continued to receive nusinersen treatment. ConclusionsDYD confers teratogenic effects after exposure to the recommended doses in pregnant women. The risks of hypospadias and cryptorchidism have biological plausibility by the known effects on male genitalia, as is the risk for spina bifida, by the proven decrease in folic acid levels. Some of these adverse fetal effects appear to be further augmented by concomitant use of IVF and ART.

CONCLUSIONS: A patient-specific synthetic surgical simulator for training residents and fellows in endoscopic colloid cyst resection was successfully developed. The simulator's anatomy, instrument handling, and procedural content were found to be realistic.
