We are grateful to the editor for the opportunity to disseminate our findings in our work entitled: Impact of a preoperative low-calorie diet on liver histology in patients with fatty liver disease undergoing bariatric surgery1. And, to Dr. Ann Rogers for her accompanying commentary providing her valuable insight regarding nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its high prevalence in bariatric patients.2
