Netflix, Disney, and Hulu are bleeding customers who are sick and tired of all the perversion

(Natural News) There’s a revolt taking place against entertainment streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus, all of which are threatening to pull their television and film productions out of Georgia and other “red” states for enacting “heartbeat” bills to protect the lives of the unborn. This study included 1249 consecutive patients undergoing either transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), Mitraclip, left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) or paravalvular leak closure (PVLC). Patients were divided into two cohorts based on the degree of probe manipulation required to guide the procedure and the risk of developing a TEE-related complication: low-risk (TAVI, n = 1037) and high-risk (Mitraclip, LAAO and PVLC, n = 212). Patients were further analyzed according to the occurrence of major and minor TEE-related complications.ResultsThe overall incidence of TEE-related complications was ...

ConclusionsIntraoperative events and 1-year postoperative complications were high for both Lichtenstein –Lichtenstein and Laparoscopy–Laparoscopy, and the results therefore support guidelines that recommend another approach at reoperation.

DiscussionThere have been no randomised controlled trials that have compared the safety and efficacy of FFP versus PCC in cardiac surgery patients who are bleeding. This pilot study will assess if individual components of a large trial are deliverable to assess the safety and efficacy of the two blood products in the future.Trial registrationEudraCT, 2018-003041-41; ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT03715348. This study proposes a multi-center RCT in order to compare outcomes of warmer hypothermic strategies during aortic hemiarch surgery on a composite endpoint of neurologic and acute kidney injury (AKI).Methods/designThis is a prospective multi-center, single-blind two-arm RCT comparing mild (32  °C) versus moderate (26 °C) hypothermic cardiac arrest in patients (n = 282) undergoing hemiarch surgery with antegrade cerebral perfusion (ACP). The primary endpoint is a composite of neurological injury (incidence of transient ischemic attack and/or stroke) and Kidney Disease Improving Global Out...

ConclusionOur review indicated that aspirin use in CKD patients had no prevention effect on cardiovascular events and no statistically significant reduction in risk of cardiovascular or all-cause mortality, with a significant increased risk of minor bleeding and renal events.

AbstractThe use of intramuscular injections is widely recommended to be avoided in patients who are prescribed anticoagulant agents, both oral and parenteral due to concerns of haematoma. Benzathine penicillin G (BPG), administered via intramuscular injection, is a vital treatment component for patients with rheumatic heart disease. BPG must be administered long term (for at least a decade) as part of treatment and alternative options to intramuscular injection are currently limited. Many of these patients with rheumatic heart disease will also require long term or lifelong anticoagulation. Our retrospective, single centre...

AbstractBackgroundThe aim of this study was to evaluate whether elderly patients undergoing elective hepatectomy experience increased morbidity/mortality and whether these outcomes could be mitigated by minimally invasive hepatectomy (MIH).Methods15,612 patients from 2014 to 2017 were identified in the Hepatectomy Targeted Procedure Participant Use File of the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. Multivariable logistic regression models were constructed to examine the effect of elderly status (age  ≥ 75 years,N = 1769) on outcomes with a subgroup an...

ConclusionsDuring our 15  years of experience, we have successfully performed 1483 cases of AGC with laparoscopy. Our results showed short-term and long-term oncologic outcomes that were comparable with other studies. LG is safe and feasible in general practice for advanced gastric cancer when performed by experienced surg eons.

CONCLUSIONS: This meta-analysis found cardiovascular factors to be the main causes for both 30-day and 1‑year rehospitalization. Heart failure represented the most common cardiovascular event at both short-term and mid-term follow-up. Several baseline characteristics and procedure-related factors were deemed unfavorable predictors of readmission. Importantly, transfemoral access and female gender were associated with a lower risk of readmission. PMID: 31807789 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
