ConclusionsThe present study indicated that sweroside, as a potential agent in treatment of osteoporosis, might exert beneficial effects on MC3T3-E1 cells by interaction with the membrane estrogen receptor-α and GPR30 that then activates the p38 signalling pathway. Conclusions: Current management of osteoporosis in PLHIV follows general osteoporosis guidelines; however, the increased fracture risk is not fully explained by lower BMD, and thus, antiosteoporosis intervention may be beneficial at a higher BMD in PLHIV.

ConclusionsIt was observed that extracts of S. hexaphylla inhibited both 5α -reductase type 2 and ARs. The results indicate that the use of S. hexaphylla extract in BPH is probably beneficial through 5α-reductase inhibition and α-adrenergic receptor blockade. In addition, apoptosis and autophagy were induced, and PCNA was downregulated after S. hexaphylla treatment.
