Effects of hepatitis B virus infection and antiviral therapy on the clinical prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma

ConclusionsHepatitis B virus infection is an independent risk factor for early stage NPC, which may be associated with its reduced immune functions compared to the HBsAg( −) group. Anti‐HBV treatment may improve the prognosis of HBV‐infected NPC patients.

This study measured the sensory responses (liking of odour, tenderness, juiciness, liking of flavour, and overall liking) of 2160 untrained American, Australian and Chinese consumers to grilled longissimus lumborum (LL) and semimembranosus (SM) muscles from 164 lambs and 168 yearlings. In this study, an infectious plasmid clone pZW containing the complete genome of strain ZW, a previously characterized rMDPV isolate, was constructed, and a single nucleotide mutation was then introduced in the VP1 gene within pZW as the genetic marker. Transfection of pZW in 11-day-old embryonated Muscovy duck eggs via the chorioallantoic membrane route resulted in the rescue of the infectious virus.
