Experience with Iliac Branch Endoprosthesis after Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Stent Grafting

The Gore iliac branch endoprosthesis (IBE) was recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2016 for preservation of the internal iliac artery during endovascular repair of common iliac (CIA) or aortoiliac artery aneurysms. Although the IBE instructions-for-use (IFU) include concomitant deployment of the Gore Excluder device, the IBE has been previously reported for repair of type IB endoleak and CIA aneurysm after EVAR. Due to altered endovascular anatomy after EVAR, the approach to this repair differs from the published IBE IFU.
