Breast cancer mortality in Chinese women: does migrant status play a role?

CONCLUSIONS: We found higher age-specific mortality rates of breast cancer in HK-immigrant women compared with HK- and GZ-born women, suggesting that immigration status might have an impact on breast cancer mortality. PMID: 31753691 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

CONCLUSION: Core needle biopsy and receptor analysis should be considered on the positive axillary nodes in breast cancer patients. Adjuvant treatment should be targeted to the receptor profile of the lymph node metastases. PMID: 32644312 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Authors: Choi BH, Baek HJ, Ha JY, Ryu KH, Moon JI, Park SE, Bae K, Jeon KN, Jung EJ Abstract OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical feasibility of synthetic diffusion-weighted imaging (sDWI) at different b-values in patients with breast cancer by assessing the diagnostic image quality and the quantitative measurements compared with conventional diffusion-weighted imaging (cDWI). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Fifty patients with breast cancer were assessed using cDWI at b-values of 800 and 1500 s/mm² (cDWI800 and cDWI1500) and sDWI at b-values of 1000 and 1500 s/mm² (sDWI1000 and sDWI1500). Qualitative analys...

Authors: Sarfstein R, Werner H Abstract A significant volume of clinical and epidemiological data provides support to the concept that insulin and the insulin receptor (INSR) have an important role in breast cancer. Tumor suppressor p53 is the most frequently mutated molecule in human cancer. The present study was aimed at evaluating the hypothesis that p53 governs the expression and activation of the INSR gene in breast cancer cells. In addition, the study was designed to investigate the mechanism of action of p53 in the context of INSR gene regulation. The availability of MCF7 breast cancer-derived cell lines wit...

Two gene expression signatures were identified. GDC-0810 and AZD9496 have a similar gene expression profile which is distinct from fulvestrant. SAR439859 gene expression signature clusters closely with fulvestrant. Replacing the carboxylic side chain of GD...

Although changes in DNA methylation are known to occur early in breast carcinogenesis and the...
