Influence of genotype of MBT on the method of detecting tuberculosis

The hereditary properties defines the ability of MBT to penetrate into a person and multiply, causing a complex of pathological processes: inflammatory symptoms, bacterial excretion, destruction of lung tissue. These characteristics of the infection may change the way in which patients with tuberculosis (TB) are identified. The goal: a comparison of the clinical manifestations of TB and methods for its detection in groups of patients formed from individuals secreting MBT with different genotype. Materials. We analyzed to detect the disease, the presence of MBT and lung destruction. The first group took patients (n=93) with the release of the strain Beijing-B0, the second (n=38) – Beijing-non-B0. MBT was assessed at the stage of diagnostics by a microscopy of sputum and culture methods. Lung destruction was detected by X-ray study. Results: In the first group TB was detected in half of the cases by the annual fluorography examination, in the second group in 34.2% (p>0,05). Patients complained of inflammatory symptoms in the first group in 48.4% cases, in the second one in 65.6% (p>0,05), secretion MBT was in 68.4% and 57.9% (p>0,05), lung destruction was in 66.3% and in 57.9% (p>0,05). The chances to detect the source of infection in the first group were 2.3 times higher than in the second (95% CI 1.006; 5.286). Thus, in patients with TB caused by a pathogen with different genotypes the frequency of occurrence of clinical manifestations did not differ. Detecti...
