Long - term mortality in patients with pneumococcal and legionella pneumonia

Conclusions: 1.5-year survival rate after hospital discharge of patients admitted for PP and LP were 76% and 86% respectively. 2. Bacteremic PP was associated with lower long-term survival after hospital discharge. 3. Results would support a pneumococcal vaccination strategy in patients ≥ 65 years and/or patients with comorbidities.
