Acute heart failure and fatal arrythmia in severe pneumonias, caused by influenza A(H1N1pdm09) virus
Conclusion: The one third of patients died of flu A(H1N1pdm09)-associated pneumonias had the fatal arrythmia. The appearance of the third tone was a strong predictor of mortality in those patients. These complications can be explained by the development of miocarditis. Hovewer, this problem demands further studying.
