Spontaneous pneumomediastinum in healthy adolescents. A real issue of the lung?

Conclusions: SPM should be considered in the differential diagnosis of acute chest pain in adolescents. Asthma patients may necessitate prolonged hospital stay and require careful surveillance, eliminating complications that may influence outcome.
