Is tracheal diameter responsible for dyspnoea in supine in chronic respiratory patients?

Conclusions: TD has negative correlation with gender in both supine and sitting position; it will be larger or smaller depending on the gender of the pt. In supine, TD is positively correlated with BMI, WHR, smoking and alcohol intake, meaning that trachea will relax with higher values of these parameters, making the air flow more turbulent and increasing dyspnoea. A large TD in supine will be accompanied by a large TD in sitting position.
