Machine Learning-Based Multiparametric MRI Radiomics for Predicting the Aggressiveness of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

ConclusionsOur study showed that machine learning-based multiparametric MR imaging radiomics could accurately distinguish aggressive from non-aggressive PTC preoperatively. This approach may be helpful for informing treatment strategies and prognosis of patients with aggressive PTC.

ConclusionPre-sternal region masses of thyroid origin are very rare. A proper work up, suspicion for thyroid mass and array of tests will be required to come to a provisional diagnosis. Since the masses reported in literature were primarily malignant, any such mass may be treated on lines of malignancy with radical surgery.

Conclusion: PSCCT is a rare but aggressive malignancy of the head and neck. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical evaluations are essential for diagnosis. While locoregional surgery and radiation therapy may improve the length of survival, the prognosis of patients with PSCCT is poor. We report a unique case of nodal MCC in head and neck lesions with an unknown primary. A 70-year-old woman was admitted to our department with a right submandibular mass. Fine needle aspiration biopsy was performed and indicated malignancy.
