A Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial of Onabotulinumtoxin A Trigger Point Injections for Myofascial Pelvic Pain

(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2019; doi: 10.1016/j.ajog.2019.06.044) Approximately 15% of women have chronic pelvic pain (CPP), which has a significant impact on quality of life and affects more than just the pelvis. Frequently, CPP is associated with irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, painful bladder syndrome, myofascial pain, and vulvodynia.
