Orthopedic Emergencies

Emergency orthopedics is the “bread and butter” of emergency medicine. This area of emergency medicine constitutes everything from mild bumps and bruises all the way through major traumatic injuries, which can result in hemorrhagic shock. It includes injuries to every region of the body, and these injuries, no matter how mi ld or severe, are among the most common reasons patients present to emergency departments (EDs) and urgent care centers around the world.
