[Examination of the mortality data of patients, treated by the "T ÁMASZ" Addictological Out-patient Clinic in Józsefváros (in Budapest, Hungary), who deceased in 2001-2018].

Conclusion: Data support the view that addict patients die earlier. Leading deaths, unlike previous investigations, were violent deaths. The rate of suicide was higher than the national rate, but it was the same as previously reported, indicating a high risk of this population. Gender differences were observed with regard to violent death, requiring further elucidation. Orv Hetil. 2019; 160(47): 1864-1871. PMID: 31736345 [PubMed - in process]
