Sutter Health paying total of $45 million to resolve double-billing, kickback lawsuits

Sutter Health will have to pay another $15.1 million to resolve allegations of double-billing and "improper financial arrangements" between its hospitals and several physicians. The Sacramento-based health system will have to pay a total of $45.6 million towards the settlement.
