Vlasova Rotavirus infection is the major cause of acute gastroenteritis among children globally. Sub-Saharan Africa including Ethiopia is disproportionally affected by the disease. The aims of this review were to determine the pooled prevalence of rotavirus infection among children under-five and to identify the dominant rotavirus genotypes in Ethiopia. We examined the effect of RotaTeq® vaccination on rotavirus and all-cause gastroenteritis hospitalisation rates using Poisson regression. Adjusted incidence rate ratios controlled for sex, year of birth, ethnicity, socioeconomic deprivation, and district health board area.
