Study Design. Two-year clinical and radiographic follow-up of a double-blind, multicenter, randomized, intra-patient controlled, non-inferiority trial comparing a bone graft substitute (AttraX® Putty) with autograft in instrumented posterolateral fusion (PLF) surgery. Objectives. The aim of this study was to compare PLF rates between 1 and 2 years of follow-up and between graft types, and to explore the role of bone grafting based on the location of the PLF mass. Summary of Background Data. There are indications that bony fusion proceeds over time, but it is unknown to what extent this can be related to bone gr...

Conclusion. Although groups showed no significant differences in clinical outcomes, cervical alignment worsened after surgery in the LAMP and PDF groups. Within the PDF group, lower CL was an independent risk factor for poor recovery. Therefore, the indications for PDF in DCM patients with preoperative kyphotic alignment should be carefully considered. Level of Evidence: 3

Abstract Objective Pulp revascularization is an effective treatment for immature necrotic teeth. Calcium hydroxide has been used in pulp revascularization as an intracanal medication due to its antimicrobial action and the non-exhibition of crown discoloration and cytotoxicity for stem cells from the apical papilla. Our study aimed to investigate the clinical success and quantitative radiographic changes of root development in immature traumatized teeth using calcium hydroxide plus 2% chlorhexidine gel as intracanal medication. Methodology In this retrospective study, 16 patients were treated with a standardized pulp revas...

CONCLUSION: For diagnosis of FBs, besides taking history from a patient, obtaining two-sided radiogram are of great importance. For non-radiolucent or deeply located FBs further clinical or radiological investigation must be considered to avoid complications. Although most of the FBs can be removed in the emergency department, depending upon the site of FB and age of the patient may require hospitalization and operation for its removal. Rationale: Coracoid processes (CPs) fracture with acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocation are extremely rare. This combined injury has brought many challenges to surgeons, and the mechanism underlying the injury is still not fully understood. There is no clear consensus on its treatment. Patient concerns: Here, we describe a CP fracture with AC joint dislocation in a middle-aged manual worker. Diagnosis: Radiographs showed a fracture of the base of the CP and a third-degree AC joint separation. Interventions: The patient was treated surgically with open reduction and internal fixation of the AC joint by LCP cla...

This study aims to present our clinical outcomes of severe AA treated by ADA. Patient concerns: A 53-year-old man suffered right ankle sprain 10 years ago, endured right ankle pain and limited movement for 6 years. Diagnosis: The patient was diagnosed as severe AA. Interventions: He received ankle distraction arthroplasty. No adjuvant procedures were performed. The visual analog scale (VAS), the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score, the short-form (SF)-36 physical component summary (PCS) score and ankle activity score (AAS) were recorded to access the clinical outcomes pre- and postoperatively...
