Antiviral effect of Chinese herbal prescription JieZe-1 on adhesion and penetration of VK2/E6E7 with herpes simplex viruses type 2

ConclusionThe anti-HSV-2 effect of JZ-1 was superior to that of penciclovir and berberine in vitro, and was mainly mediated by enhancing host cell defense and blocking adhesion and penetration of HSV-2.Graphical abstract

ConclusionsThe present study indicated that sweroside, as a potential agent in treatment of osteoporosis, might exert beneficial effects on MC3T3-E1 cells by interaction with the membrane estrogen receptor-α and GPR30 that then activates the p38 signalling pathway. This is the first study to report the specific mechanism of the effects of sweroside on osteoblastic differentiation and mineralization of MC3T3-E1 cells.Graphical abstract

In conclusion, fetal pleural effusion has a close correlation with chromosomal abnormality. CMA may increase the detection rate of chromosomal aberrations, especially for micro-deletion or micro-duplication syndromes. In the South of China, Thalassemia must be considered when a fetal pleural effusion is detected.Impact statementWhat is already known on this subject? The aetiology of fetal pleural effusion includes a chromosomal abnormality, a congenital heart disease, congenital infections and a number of genetic syndromes. What do the results of this study add? This is the first retrospective study to analyse the aetiology...

Studies in last more than six decades have suggested that the disease pathology primarily includes the depleted cholinergic neurons, accumulation of amyloid beta plaques and hyper phosphorylation of tau proteins. However, the disease etiology remains enigmatic and no therapy is available to modify the disease status. Studies in experimental models and in...

For this purpose, simple solvent extraction (SX) experiments by di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) in kerosene as a diluent was performed on synthetic and industrial chloride solution obtained from brine leaching of zinc filter cakes(by-product of zinc hydrometallurgical processing). The optimal conditions for separation ...

The influence of extractants concentration and initial pH of aqueous phase was studied in the bench scale experiments. The outcomes demonstrated that the synergistic solvent extraction enhances the constancy of the extracted complexes for transfer into the organic phase. In the continuou...
