Spatial Modelling Method for Vector Surveillance: Technical Report

Source: European Union, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Published: 11/2019. One important aspect of preparedness for vector-borne diseases is the surveillance of the introduction, establishment, and spread of the main disease vectors. This 29-page document describes a methodology to estimate the vector distribution status for those nomenclature of units for territorial statistics, level 3 (NUTS3) units for which observations are not yet available. These estimates are produced with spatial modeling techniques, using the currently available distributions to calibrate the modeling process. (PDF)
