Galloyl flavonoids from Acacia farnesiana pods possess potent anthelmintic activity against Haemonchus contortus eggs and infective larvae

ConclusionThese results indicate that A. farnesiana pods contain nematocidal compounds and might be promising natural anthelmintic agents against H. contortus. This leguminous plant could be used as a nutraceutical food source for the control of gastrointestinal nematodes in small ruminants.Graphical abstract

Conclusion EMC should be considered first from an EE’s perspective, addressing concerns at the PCB level. MEs can get involved when enclosing the PCB or device. This is a collaborative effort. Both specialties should work through planning and execution. The ability to leverage a range of materials and components for EM enclosures allows engineers to make informed choices to meet the EMC requirements of a device. When considered at early stages, engineers can make EM an integral part of the design approach.

CASE SUMMARY: A 62-year-old previously healthy man presented with left lower quadrant pain and fever. Physical examination showed left lower quadrant peritonitis. Computed tomography scan showed a pelvic abscess with extraluminal air (Fig. 1). Intravenous antibiotics were started, and CT-guided percutaneous drainage was performed. The drain was removed 1 week after discharge. One week later, he presented with dysuria and pneumaturia and was started on antibiotics. Colonoscopy confirmed diverticulosis with no other mucosal abnormalities. He underwent a successful laparoscopic sigmoidectomy with colovesical fistula takedown.

Publication date: December 2019Source: Nano Energy, Volume 66Author(s): Chunyu Xu, Jian Wang, Qiaoshi An, Xiaoling Ma, Zhenghao Hu, Jinhua Gao, Jian Zhang, Fujun ZhangAbstractSmall molecules organic photovoltaics (SMPVs) were prepared with DR3TSBDT as donor, narrow band gap material Y6 and broad band gap material PC71BM as acceptor. The Y6 based binary SMPVs exhibit a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 10.53%, with short-circuit current density (JSC) of 21.67 mA cm−2, open-circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.879 V and fill factor (FF) of 55.21%. A 12.84% PCE is achieved from the optimized ternary SMPVs with 40 wt% P...
