Morrisville's Fujifilm Diosynth acquires Texas A&M bioterror defense spinout
Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies U.S.A. acquired nearly half of Kalon Biotherapeutics, expanding Fujifilm's vaccine and bioterror defense capacity.
It subcontracts with the federal government through BARDA (the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, part of the Department of Health and Human Services) to protect public health in emergencies, including incidents of bioterrorism or an outbreak of pandemic influenza.
