Gastric metastasis resembling linitis plastica 17 years after lobular breast cancer

A 50-year-old woman presented with stomach discomfort. The patient had undergone a lobular breast cancer (LBC) surgery 17 years previously. On physical examination, mild upper abdominal tenderness was detected. Laboratory tests did not show any notable findings. Abdominal computed tomography scan revealed a gastric wall thickening (Fig. 1A, arrow). Esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed diffuse hypertrophic gastric folds (Fig. 1B).
