Therapeutic drug monitoring-guided high dose meropenem therapy of a multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii - A case report
ConclusionsTherapeutic drug monitoring-guided meropenem may be a sound new therapeutic option in eradicating multidrug resistant Acinetobacter and offer a novel therapeutic option in the field of personalized medicine.
This article reviews some epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of these conditions. PMID: 31803301 [PubMed]

Authors: Anqi C, Takabatake K, Kawai H, Oo MW, Yoshida S, Fujii M, Omori H, Sukegawa S, Nakano K, Tsujigiwa H, Jinhua Z, Nagatsuka H Abstract The stroma affects the properties and dynamics of the tumor. Previous studies have demonstrated that bone marrow-derived cells (BMDCs) possess the capability of differentiating into stromal cells. However, the characteristics and roles of BMDCs in oral squamous cell carcinoma remain unclear. The current study therefore investigated their locations and features by tracing green fluorescent protein (GFP)-labeled BMDCs in a transplantation mouse model. After irradiation, BALB-c ...

ConclusionIncidence of complications is higher when a graft is used over a native AVF. However, close surveillance and prompt intervention can lead to multiple successful salvage procedures thus prolonging the lifespan of the graft. As in our case we were able to prolong the lifespan of the AVG with multiple successful interventions.
ConclusionsThe generational turnover seems to be guaranteed according to liver transplant program directors. The new generations of surgeons generally opt for other areas of surgery other than transplantation. Studies with a greater number of responses are necessary to validate these results.
ESKAPE pathogens (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species), represent a group of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria that demonstrate the ability to escape antimicrobial treatments. These organisms are highly responsible for nosocomial and community-acquired infections, such as ventilator-associated pneumonia and S. aureus induced diabetic foot infection. Notably, P. aeruginosa contributes directly to the high mortality rate of cystic fibrosis (CF) chronic lung infections.
