Wanting Everything

I look at the walls of the room. A large card taped to the wall reads “Get Well Soon”. Right next to it, multiple photographs of her: a mother dancing at her daughter’s wedding, a middle-aged woman playing with her puppy, a grandmother lifting her grandbaby up in the air. I see her smile, the shiny eyes and the happiness on that face. Life! My eyes then focus on what is going on in the room.
