CONCLUSION: The probability of nodal positivity after neoadjuvant chemotherapy was less than 3 per cent in patients with TNBC or HER2-positive disease who achieved a breast rCR on MRI. The extended clinical scenarios in which a less aggressive approach can be safely adopted warrant consideration-including a group of patients who potentially could bypass surgical staging of the axilla altogether. ConclusionsSarcomas are the most common radiotherapy-induced tumors after breast cancer treatment. These are rare, aggressive tumors and represent between 0.5% and 5.5% of all sarcomas. Basal cell carcinoma has also been associated with breast cancer treatment. The management is individualized and multimodal, including surgical resection and chemotherapy. Different studies have shown that radiation therapy is a risk factor for the development of soft tissue tumors.

ConclusionsThis retrospective study demonstrated that age at diagnosis was independently associated with IBTR-free survival. Special caution is needed when clinical trials analyzing omission of breast surgery after NAC are enrolling younger patients (UMIN-CTR No. UMIN000037067).
