Anthony Frisby Named Director of AISR and Scott Memorial Library

Dr. Anthony Frisby has been named Director of Academic and Instructional Support and Resources (AISR) and the Scott Memorial Library after successful leadership as Interim Director. He will lead the strategic vision for AISR and along with his team of professionals, enhance services to the faculty, staff, and students of Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Frisby has been a member of the Jefferson community since 1991, serving first as the Head of Instructional Design in the Office of Academic Computing. He has also served as the Director of AISR Education Services since 1999. As an educator, Dr. Frisby is recognized as an innovative partner who has assisted faculty in creating the first distance learning course at Jefferson. He has led the integration of education technology across the campus and since 2007 has held a faculty appointment in the Jefferson Medical College as an Associate Professor of Family Medicine. Along with his numerous contributions to TJU, Dr. Frisby completed the Leadership Institute of the Association of American Medical Colleges in 2011 and the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries program for new library directors in 2013. Dr. Frisby graduated from The Ohio State University with an undergraduate degree in BioMedical Communication from the College of Medicine, a Masters in Labor and Human Relations from the College of Business and his PhD in Instructional Design and Technology from the College of Education.
