Conclusion: Findings argued against a single “DS profile” and revealed multiple within-group differences as well as expected and unexpected differences relative to typically developing children and children with other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Areas identified as most germane to regression monitoring included working memory, inhibition, letter and word identification, navigational route learning, motor skills (when strong at baseline), single word receptive/expressive vocabulary, and adaptive function.

Conclusions: One-fourth of children with DS and RSV-confirmed death did not have risk factors for severe RSV disease, indicating that DS is an important risk factor for RSV-related mortality. Age distribution at time of death demonstrates that maternal vaccination would not be sufficient to protect children with DS against RSV-related mortality.

In pediatrics, it predominantly occurs in acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AMKL) and here especially in patients with trisomy 21, called myeloid leukemia in Down syndrome (ML-DS). Defects in mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) and cytokines specifically released by the myeloid blasts are the main drivers of fibrosis in the bone marrow niche (BMN). In order to determine which factors are necessary/sufficient f...
