Hazard of complex regional pain syndrome following human papillomavirus vaccination among adolescent girls in the United States: a case-cohort analysis of insurance claims data.
Conclusion: The results support the safety and continued administration of HPV vaccines to adolescents. PMID: 31674255 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
We describe the most highly recommended generic and disease-specific PRO tools in SCD and discuss the challenges of incorporating them in clinical practice. EXPERT OPINION: PRO measures are essential to incorporate into SCD clinical trials either as primary or secondary outcomes. The use of PRO measures in SCD facilitates a patient-centered approach, which is likely to lead to improved outcomes. Significant challenges remain in adapting PRO tools to routine clinical use and in developing countries. PMID: 33034214 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Currently in fellowship doing bread/butter procedures (MBB, epidurals, PNB, few SCS/PNS trials, etc.) and just interviewed at a private practice spot where they do a lot of procedures that I will have not done any training in prior to graduating (e.g. IT pump, SI fusion, Vertiflex, Kypho, MILD, Discectomy, lots of SCS/PNS trials etc) and significant amount of "OR pain procedures" at a very busy practice seeing 30-40 pts/day - how many of you are commonly performing these procedures and are... private practice concern
Abstract Trace metals concentrations of 25 elements were determined for 22 subcomponents of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste samples representing the United States municipal solid waste (MSW) stream collected during three separate waste sorts. The subcomponent trace metal concentrations and estimated composition results were used to predict trace metal concentrations present in the overall MSW stream along with MSW compost and waste to energy (WTE) ash, which were compared to health-based standards (i.e., US EPA regional screening levels) and to values previously reported in the literature. These estimate...
CONCLUSIONS: Certain conditions are prevalent in the same patient populations that are vaccinated with the HPV vaccine (peri-pubertal males and females). This association, however, is insufficient proof of causality. PMID: 31928708 [PubMed - in process]
Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination has been anecdotally connected to development of dysautonomia, chronic fatigue, complex regional pain syndrome and postural tachycardia syndrome.
ConclusionCertain conditions are prevalent in the same populations that are vaccinated with the HPV vaccine (peri-pubertal males and females). This association, however, is an insufficient proof of causality.
ConclusionsNon-specific symptoms including headache, fatigue and dizziness feature prominently in serious AE reports from females in Denmark. Our analysis identified a cluster of reports, likely media stimulated, with a focus on symptoms of CFS and POTS. PMID: 31088598 [PubMed - in process]
ConclusionsCluster analysis reveals additional reports of AEs following HPV vaccination that are serious in nature and describe symptoms that overlap those reported in cases from the recent safety signals (POTS, CRPS, and CFS), but which do not report explicit diagnoses. While the causal association between HPV vaccination and these AEs remains uncertain, more extensive analyses of spontaneous reports can better identify the relevant case series for thorough signal evaluation.
In conclusion, a disabling syndrome of chronic neuropathic pain, fatigue, and autonomic dysfunction may appear after HPV vaccination.
Almost of previous investigations for adverse clinical symptoms after human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccination described that the symptoms appeared to be complex regional pain syndrome or psychogenic disorders. However we have a chance for investigating over 100 patients with widespread pain, general fatigue, autonomic dysfunction, memory impairment, hyper photosensitivity, impairment of locomotor system, et al. after HPV vaccination. Based on these clinical symptoms, we postulated HPV vaccination associated with neuro-immunopathic syndrome (HANS).
