HHS: Administrative Simplification: Rescinding the Adoption of the Standard Unique Health Plan Identifier and Other Entity Identifier

Final rule from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to rescind the unique health plan identifier (HPID) and other entity identifier (OEID) specifications and use requirements as part of HIPAA requirements included in the Affordable Care Act. Also removes the definitions for the "Controlling health plan" (CHP) and "Subhealth plan" (SHP). The rule will be effective on December 27, 2019.
