Solta Medical Receives New FDA 510(k) Clearance For Dual Laser System
The Fraxel DUAL 1550/1927 laser system has received an additional FDA 510(k) clearance for treatment of pigmented lesions, including lentigos, solar lentigos and ephelides, Solta Medical announced recently
J Am Podiatr Med Assoc. 2021 Dec 15;111(6). doi: 10.7547/20-099.ABSTRACTAblative fractional laser is suggested to promote wound healing in diabetic and venous leg ulcers. In this article, we report the treatment outcome of a recalcitrant foot ulceration related to lower leg arteriopathy. A 43-year-old man with typical digital substraction angiographic findings of arteriopathy was admitted to our department after 30 sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. There was heterotopic tissue within the ulcer consistent with osseous metaplasia and mature bone tissue. This tissue was removed with full-field erbium:yttrium-aluminum-gar...
CONCLUSION A ps 1,064/532 fractional laser achieves reduction in fine lines and pigment.
CONCLUSION Full-field erbium: YAG laser applications preserve the vascular architecture and enable delicate debridement. Ongoing maintenance fractional laser sessions promote wound healing. Similar to the previous reports of erbium: YAG laser in venous and diabetic ulcers, arterial ulcers, and ulcers of immunologic origin demonstrated an objective treatment response along with different adjuvant approaches.
In conclusion, local AFL shows substantial promise as an adjuvant to systemic aPD-1 therapy in a clinically relevant preclinical BCC model.
This study aims to examine cutaneous pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of the PD-1 inhibitor nivolumab, locally delivered either by ablative fractional laser (AFL)-assisted passive diffusion or active intradermal injection, in vivo.MATERIALS AND METHODS: In vivo pig skin was either exposed to CO2 AFL (80 mJ/mb by two stacked pulses of 40 mJ/mb) at 5% or 15% density followed by topical application of nivolumab (1 mg/ml, 100 µl/10 × 10 mm) or intradermally injected with nivolumab (1 mg/ml, 100 µl). Cutaneous nivolumab delivery was evaluated at different timepoints (0, 1, 2, 4 hours and 2 days) at two tis...
Clin Cosmet Investig Dermatol. 2021 Nov 9;14:1621-1628. doi: 10.2147/CCID.S330411. eCollection 2021.ABSTRACTPURPOSE: Assessment of the clinical effectiveness and safety of 755-nm long-pulse alexandrite laser combined with 0.5% timolol maleate eye drops in treating thicker infantile hemangioma (IH).MATERIALS AND METHODS: Retrospective analysis of IH treated with 755-nm long-pulse alexandrite laser and topical timolol in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from October 2019 to October 2020. Seventy-eight cases were included, with a five-week laser treatment interval. Treatment status was documented d...
CONCLUSIONS: This position paper provides practical real-world guidelines resulting from a small survey of experienced users, for new and early uses of the novel 1550 nm /1927 nm dual wavelength, non-ablative, fractional laser.
