VC 3. Hybrid Management of Acute Deep Venous Thrombosis in the Iliocaval Vein: Eliminating Once and for all the Anatomic Occlusion-Stenosis

The objective of this study was to show that a stenotic lesion or occlusion may remain after open thrombectomy or endovascular thrombolysis. Hybrid treatment is applied to eliminate these causes. In our experience obtained at the Central Military Hospital, Mexico City, a hospital of the highest level in the Mexican armed forces with>700 beds, we have found a great discrepancy in what has been published around the world concerning permeability after removal of thrombus of the iliocaval junction by open or percutaneous procedures.
