The antibacterial mechanism of oridonin against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

Conclusions: Oridonin antibacterial mechanism was related to changes in cell membrane and cell wall permeability, disturbance in protein and DNA metabolism, and influence on bacterial morphology. Thus, oridonin may help in treating MRSA infection. PMID: 31622118 [PubMed - in process]

In this study, a green synthesis approach was used to create a composite hydrogel (CoHy) of RSF stabilized with CarboxymethylCellulose-Na (CMC-Na) and loaded with AgNPs. Their swelling ratios were up to 59 g/g when tested in different physiologically relevant fluids.
