Human milk fatty acid profile across lactational stages after term and preterm delivery: a pooled data analysis

ConclusionsThere was high heterogeneity in reported levels of some FAs between individual studies, whereas others are remarkably constant. Our pooled data suggests that there are distinct patterns of content fluctuations for specific FA categories over the course of lactation; many of these patterns are comparable between term and preterm milk.
