Maxillofacial Rehabilitation with Zygomatic Implants in an Oncological Patient. A Case Report
Tumor ablation leaves significant sequelae in the appearance, function and esthetics of a cancer patient, particularly when it comes to head and neck cancer. Reconstruction with local and microvascular flaps is a workable option; however, esthetic results are occasionally unfulfilling and inadequate for the rehabilitation of lost structures. Prosthetic rehabilitation with conventional and zygomatic implants provides favorable and predictable long-term results. The current paper is a clinical case report of a 53-year-old female patient with an adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) diagnosis.
