Barriers for indigenous women to access obstetric services within the framework of integrated health services networks.

CONCLUSIONS: The networks model allows access to obstetric services but does not guarantee care. For this it is necessary to improve both: the infrastructure of the obstetric service providers, and the care processes. It is necessary to broaden the vision of the IHN management model considering the perspective of human rights and equity in health. PMID: 31607413 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Conclusion: Chinese women had a substantially lower risk of venous thromboembolism during pregnancy and the postpartum period compared to that of Caucasians. The occurrence of pregnancy-related venous thromboembolism was largely confined to the early pregnancy period, probably related to the adoption of thromboprophylaxis, a lower rate of Cesarean section, and early mobilization. CONCLUSIONS: Because of its pleiotropic roles in several reproductive events and its association with some life-threatening pathological conditions of pregnancy, bikunin may represent a non-invasive marker for improving follow-up and early diagnosis. Studies showing its usefulness as a drug for reducing the risk of preterm delivery and improving neonatal outcomes have yielded interesting results that deserve to be investigated through further research. Authors: Kuck KH, Phan HL, Tilz RR Abstract The new guidelines for the management of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) were published by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) in September 2019. The key message of the guidelines is that catheter ablation should be offered as a first line treatment to most patients during a comprehensive discussion of the risks and advantages. This recommendation recognizes that catheter ablation has nowadays become a widely established, effective and safe treatment method with a very low complication rate, which has revolutionized the treatment of SVT due to the substa...
