1165 Degree of Trendelenburg Position Required for Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Gynecologic Surgery

ConclusionSteep Trendelenburg is not always needed for gynecologic surgery. The majority of cases can be accomplished with less than 18 degrees of Trendelenburg. BMI, case difficulty and uterine size were associated with requiring steeper Trendelenburg. We recommend personalized positioning by placing the patient in the minimal amount of Trendelenburg required to adequately expose the target anatomy.
