ConclusionsPA activates PXR signalling and suppresses NF-κB signalling, consequently causing ameliorating inflammation. Results highlight the importance of PXR–NF-κB crosstalk in colitis and suggest a novel therapeutic reagent.Graphical abstract

In this study, Fe3O4 and microwave (MW) were combined to activate persulfate (PS) for the removal of organic matter, resulting in the enhanced degradation of p-nitrophenol (PNP) in solution. ConclusionThis research supports and extends the ethnomedicinal use of C. songarica as diuretic and hypotensive agent.
