177Lutetium Labelled Macroaggregated Albumin Imaging and Treatment Effect in Patient with Cystic Thyroid Nodule.

We present a patient with a cystic thyroid nodule and SThere are number of different peptides or antibodies that have been labelled with 177Lutetium and have been used in imaging and treatment for clinical usage. To our knowlodge, 177Lutetium has never been labelled with macroaggregated albumin (MAA) before. There was special effort exerted in the radiopharmacy laboratory of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, to bind 177Lu with MAA (LUTMA). We present 43-year-old male patient with a cystic thyroid nodule and SPECT/CT imaging after intranodular 177Lutetium labelled macroaggregated albumin injection and a treatment effect of this method.PECT/CT imaging after intranodular Lutetium-177 labeled macroaggregated albumin injection and a treatment effect of this method. Conclusions The results of our study indicate that 99mTc-MIBI SPECT/CT is more accurate than ultrasound for the preoperative identification of single PTAs in patients with pHPT who are candidates for MIP.

Aim To evaluate 68Ga-DOTANOC positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) and 131I-meta-iodobenzylguanidine single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (131I-MIBG SPECT/CT) in patients with paragangliomas, including uncommon primaries. Methods Ninety patients were prospectively enrolled, and both scans were done within 2 weeks of each other. Lesions were grouped as Head/neck, abdominal, uncommon primary paraganglioma, and metastatic lesions. In most histopathology was used as reference standard. Results PET/CT had sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predicti...

Conclusion [18F]FDG PET may be useful as a non-invasive diagnostic modality in differentiating the two posterior cortical dementias, despite significant overlap. Primary visual cortical hypometabolism can serve as an independent diagnostic marker for DLB, even in the absence of TRODAT imaging.

ConclusionApproximately a quarter of planar DMSA scintigraphies that show an abnormal SRF in paediatric patients may be normal when assessed by SPECT/ldCT, which likely reflects underestimation of the kidney with the poorest function when assessed by GM due to the lack of attenuation correction. Planar scans that show an abnormal SRF in paediatric patients should thus preferably be supplemented by SPECT/ldCT.

eacute; Chandan Guha Radiation therapy (RT) has traditionally not been widely used in the management of hepatic malignancies for fear of toxicity in the form of radiation-induced liver disease (RILD). Pre-clinical hepatic irradiation models can provide clinicians with better understanding of the radiation tolerance of the liver, which in turn may lead to the development of more effective cancer treatments. Previous models of hepatic irradiation are limited by either invasive laparotomy procedures, or the need to irradiate the whole or large parts of the liver using external skin markers. In the setting of modern-day ...

AbstractBackgroundPET/CT is the standard for quantitative assessments of myocardial blood flow (MBF), but it requires short-lived-tracers, costly, and not widely available. SPECT with Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) detectors allows dynamic acquisition and quantitation of MBF. The study aims were to compare MBF measurements by99mTc-tetrofosmin-CZT to N13NH3 PET/CT after regadenoson-induced coronary hyperemia and to evaluate the effect of attenuation correction (AC).Methods54 patients were evaluated at rest and during vasodilation by99mTc-tetrofosmin-CZT and N13NH3 PET/CT within 2 weeks. MBF and MBF reserve (MFR) were measured...

ConclusionsThe acquired optimal ME collimator and energy window along with using a suitable reconstruction algorithm lead to improved contrast and SNR of90Y bremsstrahlung images of hot spheres of the digital Jaszczak phantom. This can improve the accuracy and precision of the90Y activity distribution estimation after radioembolization in targeted radionuclide therapy.

In this study, we evaluated the correlation between pre-treatment plasma fibrinogen and the burden of bone metastasis in newly diagnosed PCa patients. METHODS: A single-center retrospective analysis, focusing on prostate biopsies of newly diagnosed PCa patients, was performed. A total of 261 patients were enrolled in this study in a 4-year period. All subjects were submitted to single-photon emission computerized tomography-computed tomography to confirm the status of bone metastasis and, if present, the number of metastatic lesions would then be calculated. Clinical information such as age, prostate-specific antigen ...
