LESS with Suture Suspension for Early-Stage Adnexa Cancer Staging.

Conclusion: Laparoendoscopic single-site surgery may be a feasible and safe technique for staging early-stage ovarian/tubal cancer. This approach has some advantages included providing easier access to the upper abdominal regions when performing high-level infrarenal para-aortic lymphadenectomy; the 2-cm elastic incision favors fast specimen extraction and colpotomy are avoided. However, the long-term oncologic outcomes need to be further investigated. PMID: 31595144 [PubMed - in process]

CONCLUSIONS: Considering the age group in which rectal prolapse is most commonly seen, and the change in bowel habits, chronic constipation and irritation chronic seen in rectal prolapse may be responsible for the development of rectum cancer, therefore endoscopic screening should not be overlooked in rectal prolapse cases. CONCLUSION: The etiology of chronic groin pain post hernia repair is related in part to nerve injury. This is supported by the high frequency of sensory symptoms and numbness in these patients. However other factors including the role of tissue injury and inflammatory postoperative changes need to be considered. The objective of this paper is to synthesise current knowledge on ALK rearrangement and its impact on the management of advanced NSCLC. Several inhibitors of the tyrosine kinase of ALK (crizotinib, ceritinib, alectinib) have been approved as first line therapies in patients with advanced ALK positive NSCLC, which are associated with a better median progression-free survival than conventional chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the emergence of drug resistance leads to tumor progression. In patients with oligoprogressive disease if local ablative therapy can be effected, continuing with the same ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitor is on...

We investigated the characteristics of a field strain of PEDV (PEDV strain SH) isolated from a piglet with severe diarrhea on a farm in Shanghai China. Whole genome sequencing and analysis revealed that the SH strain belonged to subtype G2a and has a unique 12-aa deleti...
