Abstract
Pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA) is the treatment of choice for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). This case report outlines the importance of veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and plasmapheresis as two important options in the management of HIT positive patients requiring urgent PEA.
