Child-adult relationship enhancement (care) training: bringing good parenting behaviors to all who interact with children

Participants will learn the theory and techniques behind child-adult relationship enhancement (CARE) training, an evidence-based practice for any adult who interacts with children. In this Workshop, participants will learn the key components of CARE training and how they can incorporate it into their practice. Specifically, participants will: 1) practice play-based and child-led relationship enhancement methods; 2) use strategies for decreasing children ’s negative behavior; 3) identify strengths and challenges of using CARE skills; and 4) identify populations that may benefit from CARE training.
