Bad boys (and girls): addressing school violence
The goals of this session are: 1) to gain knowledge on youth violence and understand the scope of school violence; 2) to examine the literature on mass school shooters and review an overview on threat assessment; 3) to learn about how trauma off campus affects students on campus; and 4) to review principles involved in the assessment of students ’ risk of violence and the use of incorporating formal risk assessment tools when appropriate.
