66.1 evidence base and medication management: the multimodal treatment of adhd (mta) study and beyond

The objectives of this presentation are: 1) to review medications and present the current evidence base for the pharmacologic management of ADHD, highlighting the Multimodal Treatment of ADHD (MTA) study; 2) to describe the limitations of monotherapy with medication for ADHD treatment; and 3) to highlight the evidence for combination strategies that more comprehensively address symptoms and functional limitations that result from ADHD.
