82.4 adolescent substance use disorders screening and risk stratification

Screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) can delay and decrease substance use initiation among youth, yet implementation barriers limiting the use of SBIRT may contribute to the fact that fewer than 10 percent of adolescents with substance use disorders (SUDs) receive any appropriate treatment. This presentation teaches the use of an efficient tool for SBIRT.
